Manchester United Legend Gary Neville to Perform DJ Set at UK Music Festival

In a striking departure from his career as of of England’s most decorated footballers, Gary Neville is now stepping onto an entirely different stage as a DJ.

Neville is poised to team up with Tim Burgess, the lead singer of The Charlatans, to thrill an audience of approximately 40,000 at the upcoming Kendal Calling music festival in the North West of England. He’ll be performing under a new alias, DJ G-Dog.

Neville, who carved out a legendary career with Manchester United after playing over 600 games for the club, has been dabbling in various post-retirement ventures. From his insightful analysis as a Sky Sports commentator to his recent appearance on Netflix’s Beckham docuseries, he has continually sought new horizons. His latest escapade into the music industry—specifically as a DJ—adds a fascinating chapter to a diverse career portfolio.

Neville’s upcoming appearance won’t be his first collaboration with Burgess. The duo previously teamed up in 2015, when Neville showcased his guitar skills with The Charlatans at a small gig at Hotel Football.

The 2024 edition of Kendall Calling is scheduled to take place from August 1-4. Check out Neville’s announcement below.
