Drive-By Truckers to Perform Southern Rock Opera on Tour

Drive-By Truckers have announced their “Southern Rock Opera Revisited” tour, which will see the band perform their acclaimed 2001 album Southern Rock Opera in full throughout North America.

The first leg of the run kicks off on June 7th in Indianapolis, Indiana, and runs through early July, hitting cities like Austin, San Fransisco, and Seattle along the way. They’ll pack up their road cases once more in October for the second leg, subsequently hitting New York City, Philadelphia, Chicago, and more. Check out the full itinerary below.

A Live Nation ticket pre-sale is set for Thursday, March 28th at 12:00 pm local time (use access code KEY), with the general on-sale following on March 29th via Ticketmaster. VIP packages are also available for purchase.

Once tickets are on sale, fans can also look for deals or get tickets to sold-out shows via StubHub, where orders are 100% guaranteed through StubHub’s FanProtect program.

The outing will mark the first time Drive-By Truckers have played Southern Rock Opera in full in over two decades. The band has also promised to supplement the record’s songs with a selection of fan-favorites and a unique encore set for each individual show.

Drive-By Truckers’ latest record, 2022’s Welcome 2 Club XIII, marked their 14th studio album. In 2023, they released The Complete Dirty South, a reissue of their celebrated 2004 album The Dirty South that included remixes and b-sides.
