Blackpink member Lisa has joined the ever-expanding cast of The White Lotus’ third season, reports Variety. The actress and singer—who will be credited under her given name, Lalisa Manobal—joins Parker Posey, Jason Isaacs, Leslie Bibb, Michelle Monaghan, Aimee Lou Wood, and more than a dozen others who are slated to star in the next season of the Mike White–directed HBO show. Lisa’s role has not been revealed, which is also true for the rest of the cast.
Plot details for the third season of The White Lotus are still under wraps, but production is set to begin filming around Koh Samui, Phuket, and Bangkok, Thailand, later this month. The new season also stars Dom Hetrakul, Tayme Thapthimthong, Christian Friedel, Julian Kostov, Morgana O’Reilly, Lek Patravadi, Shalini Peiris, Carrie Coon, Scott Glenn, Francesca Corney, Nicholas Duvernay, Arnas Fedaravičius, Natasha Rothwell, Walton Goggins, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sarah Catherine Hook, and Sam Nivola.
The White Lotus role will mark Lisa’s acting debut, but she’s not the first Blackpink member to appear on a TV show. Last year, Jennie starred in the Weeknd’s The Idol, even recording a collaborative song for the show with him and co-star Lily-Rose Depp.
Last year, Blackpink headlined Coachella for both weekends. The K-pop singers were also named honorary Members of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) at Buckingham Palace due to their commitment to raising awareness about climate change. Their second album, Born Pink, came out back in September 2022.
